Vaccines for mature Americans can save lives. It has been shown that getting your pneumonia shots can lengthen your life expectancy by FOUR years. Flu shots will also protect you from a debilitating illness that can have life threatening consequences for seniors. Vaccinations are cheap and they are SAFE.

Contrary to some things you may have heard or read, vaccines are safe. They are medicines that can prevent disease. More and more medicines are injected . . . medicines that fight cancer, arthritis and auto immune diseases are all injected or infused. Just like the pills and ointments that our doctors prescribe, vaccines are approved by the FDA. There has been no study that has revealed any dangers beyond the minor side effects documented by the FDA approved labels. If you have questions about a vaccine talk to your doctor, I can guarantee that he or she will agree that vaccines are safe and important to your health. You have trusted them with other aspects of your health . . . trust their council on vaccines. You owe it to your kids and grandkids (and great grandkids) to stay around for FOUR more years.

RetireSafe wants you to be healthy. Last year we started a project to contact at least a million mature Americans and urge them to get their vaccinations and help them through the process. This year we have more than doubled our efforts, we are going to email two million older Americans and run a nationwide ad campaign in senior newspapers to help you get, what could be, lifesaving vaccinations.

There are three steps you need to take…

1.  Find out what vaccines you need to get. You can do that by clicking on our Vaccine Information page.

Here you can learn about different diseases and their Vaccines as well as a link that will take you to the “Adult Immunization Vaccine Finder”, a government site that will ask you questions about you and your life. It will then give you a list of vaccines that you may need.

2.  Discuss the vaccines on the list with your doctor or healthcare professional.

3.  Get the recommended vaccinations. That’s it, that’s all you have to do to be healthier and possibly adding years to your life. We urge you to follow these steps and to pass this email on to your family and friends.

Don’t wait – Vaccinate!
